askcharlyleetham.com We were having problems with videos rendered with a m4v extension and hosted on Amazon S3 playing on Internet Explorer. The error message -The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported:- would be displayed. After a bit of investigation, we found the issue was related to the http headers being set when the videos were uploaded – changing the content type to the correct video type fixed the problem!

It is light enough to hold, feels good…no rough edges… very balanced. OS is of course stunning. It is so fast, both in the navigation of the phone UI, and browsing the net. Only three complaints. 1. The camera button activates the damn camera with the slightest of touch, so if you hold it in the left hand your ring finger hits it all the damned time. I do have fairly large hands, so natives to OZ may have better luck than me. 2. The Bluetooth makes initial connection to my car (2006 BMW 5)then drops the connection. My old phone was the hd7 and that uses Bluetooth 2.1, which the 8x uses as well. So no idea what that problem is all about, but a pisser nonetheless. 3. Office app and saving documents. In WP7 if you had access to your corporate SharePoint server the built in app would not connect to it unless you made somewhat major changes to the authentication process, in WP8 that is not the case. You can easily add your SharePoint site to your office app and browse with no problems q…. the complaint is after you create a site link, that link does not show up in your MS office apps. So you can create a new word doc and save it to SharePoint, you can thankfully open a doc from SharePoint mod it and save it. Over all best phone/os I have used.

First off I want to say “THANKS!” to Amazon for the great support they provide their customers. I’m always amazed when I have an issue with a purchase because Amazon always steps up to the plate and helps, no matter what the issue is. On to the review… I’ve actually received 2 of these monitors and they both had the same problem… For a lack of a better way to describe it.. they both have a lite leak in the bottom right hand corner. One of the monitors was worse than the other in that it had other places that “lite” up the screen. I decided to do a video review because I’m hoping it will better show the problem I’ve had. I have contacted Samsung twice by phone and three times in email. I haven’t heard a word from the email but both of the representatives I spoke with felt they were defective monitors. The last rep was able to pull up the pictures I had sent to see what the issue was. Only suggestion he had was for me to send it to Samsung for repair. I think Samsung should test one to make sure it works ok and send it to me in exchange for one of the bad ones… Of course that’s just my thought. I originally didn’t like this monitor because I thought it looked like a sewing machine… 
I have to admit it’s a beautiful monitor with spectacular color. Only wish we could resolve the “small” issue I have… If I don’t hear anything more from Samsung I am going to request Amazon to send me a third one in hope it might be a’ok. I’m also going to see if I can find one in a …

Revolution OS is a documentary which traces the history of GNU, Linux, and the open source and free software movements. It features several interviews with prominent hackers and entrepreneurs (and hackers-cum-entrepreneurs), including Richard Stallman, Michael Tiemann, Linus Torvalds, Larry Augustin, Eric S. Raymond, Bruce Perens, Frank Hecker and Brian Behlendorf. The film begins in medias res with an IPO, and then sets the historical stage by showing the beginnings of software development back in the day when software was shared on paper tape for the price of the paper itself. It then segues to Bill Gates’s Open Letter to Hobbyists in which he asks Computer Hobbyists to not share, but to buy software. (This letter was written by Gates when Microsoft was still based in Arizona and spelled “Micro-Soft”.) Richard Stallman then explains how and why he left the MIT Lab for Artificial Intelligence in order to devote his life to the development of free software, as well as how he started with the GNU project. Linus Torvalds is interviewed on his development of the Linux kernel as well as on the GNU/Linux naming controversy and Linux’s further evolution, including its commercialization. Richard Stallman remarks on some of the ideological aspects of open source vis-á-vis Communism and capitalism and well as on several aspects of the development of GNU/Linux. In this video I will show you how to root your kindle fire that is running software version 6.3. ***NOTICE there seems to be an issue with the kindle fire utility not installing the superuser app which will finish giving you root. So what you can do to remedy this is once you have the twrp recovery, you can flash this stock rooted version of 6.3 (THIS WILL WIPE ALL UR DATA) forum.xda-developers.com OR you can just download this superuser.apk, and sideload it onto your kindle fire (I have a video for sideloading if you dont know how, your data will NOT be wiped) uploading.com FAQs If your adb status says offline, try making a new user account on your computer, then log into that account and go through the video while on the new account. This helps with driver / software compatibility problems. If you kindle fire gets stuck at the yellow triangle or the kindle fire logo and does not boot up normally, one of the following will fix it. 1. open kindle fire utility, change the bootmode to normal 2. google and download the kindle fire unbrick tool and use that If neither of the above work, its because you need to reinstall the driver for the kindle. Open device manager, find the kindle fire, and manually install the driver, or you can try using the install driver bat from the kindle fire utility.
