"Steve" Calls the Janglenuts Residence to Help "Fix Our Computer"
Our IT department gets a call from “Steve” saying our computer that was “infected” and it notified them and he can help fix it for us. Little did Steve know that he called an IT department and we used a Virtual Machine as our ‘broken computer’. Hilarity ensues… Warning: some foul language is used! Here’s everything I’ve tried so far in a list below. – Tried using Internet Explorer (dry heave) no change in speed. – Tried converting to MOV format using Power Director and it converted, but still SLOW. – Tried power cylcling the computer for five minutes. – Tried power cycling the router for five minutes. – Tried contacting my ISP to check for throttling or other issues. – Tried a speed test and passed. – Tried other web sites and they’re fast/fine. – Tried uploading from another computer. Same result. – Tried deleting all Firefox “add-ons” and restored original default settings. – Tried using Firefox in “safe mode” in hopes simplicity would solve it. – Tried refreshing the browser. – Tried uploading directly from Power Director- didn’t work. So 4 probably wont come out, and maybe 5 will come out, right now, you can stick with 6 and 7 definatly coming out. as long as my programs will work, im trying to use adobe premiere elements 10. Since i got it and haven’t used it too much. And i still haven’t edited lots of funny and awesome videos. Im being slow with all my school work but im trying to edit. I just come home and dont even go on the computer, i get stuck with reading and then at 6;00 i eat, go back to reading, fall asleep, and do my homework in the morning.
