Fun With Indian Phone Scammers Claiming to be Microsoft
I received a call from this so called technical support team who claim to have found problems with your PC. Firstly they get you to open the event viewer and scare you into thinking your computer is infected with viruses by showing you harmless and common windows errors. Then if you continue with what they say, they will use a remote access tool to gain access to your computer. These people may seem genuine and helpful, but believe me help is the last think they want to offer you. On a funnier side of things I decided to have a bit of craic with them seeing as they are so nice to call me so often. I cut the start of the call cause it was very hard to hear, but he told me he was ringing from Microsoft technical support.
