IMPORTANT: Google “My IP” and it should tell you what your IP is. Other people trying to connect to your server must use that IP. I had this problem for a LONG time and after finding the solution there was no guide for Windows 7 and Hamachi users so I wanted to make this video for all of you who have windows 7. Remember you have to start up “Mincecraft_Server.exe” and keep it running for the server to work. Download below. In this video I show you how to make your own Minecraft server. Keep in mind that while this tutorial is for Windows, the process is pretty much the same on a Mac. Port Forwarding Site portforward.com Port Check Site www.yougetsignal.com *FAQ* Q)I can’t open minecraft_server.exe A)Type .exe at the end of the filename and open it again. Q)I can’t login to the server (Bad Login) A)Restart the Minecraft program and try again. If it still doesn’t work, try again. If it still will not work, restart your computer. Q)I can’t open the Server Properties file. A)Right click the file, chose open with, then choose Notepad to open the file. Q)I can’t find my router model number. A)The model number should be printed on the router. If not, check the manual that came with the router. If you still can’t find it, try a google search. Q)My router model number isn’t on the Port Forward site. A)Run a google search on how to forward ports on your router. Q)I’ve done everything you’re done, but it still says port 25565 was closed. A1)Wireless Networks – remember to forward the ports from the computer that has the has the router plugged into it. If you do not forward the ports from that computer, you will not be able to forward the ports. A2)Wired Connections – Retry the port forwarding process. Make sure you are forwarding the correct port (25565), and are following the correct format for entering the information into your firewall. You can connect via ethernet or wireless and it will work. *All accounts must be paid for separate accounts. If you have a cracked version of the game, it probably will not work. Also, each person needs their own account. connecting with the same account on more than 1 machine will error out. *When someone is connecting to your machine, they do not need to click “Add Server” or “Direct connect” button and enter the IP address. That will cause it to fail, every time. Battlefield 3 – LAN Problem Fix Tutorial This is a tutorial on how to fix eventual issues with LAN on Battlefield 3. After many disappointments from this games serversystem, we decided to take initiative ourselves, and for us this worked, and hopefully it will for you too. How to LAN with Bttlefield 3 Description: 1. Press windows icon in bottom left corner. Type “services.msc” without the ” in the search bar. 2. Scroll down to UPnP Device Host. Stop it. Go to SSDP Discovery, stop that one too. Close that window. 3. Back to windows icon. Type “cmd” inte the search bar. A black screen will appear. In that screen, write “ipconfig”. Lots of numbers will appear. Look what numbers connect to the “Standard gateway” and write the in youre internet browser. 4. You may need to log into your router. Refer to your router manual if you don’t know your password or ID. Log in. 5. Find the UPnP settings in the router and make sure you turn it OFF! 6. Save the settings, log out of youre router. For as little as $50 I can prevent this and ANY future software problems with your computer. Here is the link to test for the Malware: www.dcwg.org I used this link to check my system: www.dns-ok.lu If you get a green check you are good. If red you need a better antivirus program. I use the one on this link: windows.microsoft.com It is FREE and CNet ranks it way up there. As a self employed IT guy I use this and have NEVER had a problem in the four years of having the same computer. Hope this helps.
