Update: 23/5/12 ============ NVIDIA has released 301.42. Try updating to this version first to see if it fixes the PSOD before rolling back to 295.73 (or earlier versions). 301.42 (Vista/7 64-bit): www.nvidia.com 301.42 (Vista/7 32-bit): www.nvidia.com 20/3/12 ====== It seems that this problem is related to the NVIDIA’s latest GeForce driver 296.10. NVIDIA is aware of this problem and is working on a fix. You can read more about it here: forums.nvidia.com forums.nvidia.com forums.nvidia.com The best thing to do right now is to roll back to the earlier version 295.73 and wait until they have a fix. If after rolling back to 295.73 and it doesn’t fix the problem, try rolling back to a more earlier version (than 295.73) and keep doing this until you’ve found a version that’s stable. PS It looks like the majority of the people who have this problem either have a GTX 560 or GTX 560 Ti. If you have this problem as well, please post the type of video card that you have. AMD Extreme Underclocking (Downclocking)
In this video, I’ll be underclocking my AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600+ @ 2.4ghz to 650mhz for each core (2). This causes my system to be quite unstable and my computer has a good chance of crashing when lowering the speed or when I need to change the speed back to normal. Sorry for the video being ahead of the audio because the slow speed cause this problem when I’m recording my voice at the same time on the computer. Also, sorry for the cursor not appearing as I need to check the settings. I hope you enjoy this video and please comment, rate, and subscribe!
Solve the problem of slow computer
how to fix Youtube HTML5 vs FLASH speed problem – read the comment !
How to disable the HTML5 player in Firefox and get your Youtube video speed back, especially on older machines playing higher resolutions or fullscreen. At the moment Youtube is testing a HTML5 video player. The background of the story also seems to be that Youtube (Google) wants to push their own WEBM videocontainer format (using VP8 codec) instead of the widely spread and well developed H264. Shame ! Basically HTML5 embedded video is not a bad idea, but the implementation of these video formats and codecs in browsers is optimized for new hardware. As a result older computers can play videos in flash player without problems, but in HTML5 they get big trouble. Issues of HTML5 implementations: 1) on my current computer (quadcore) the HTML5 player is sluggish, video gets out of sync easily. Moving the mouse over the video or any controls makes the video stop for 1 second. 2) on my old notebook (can play blurays) anything higher than 360p stutters terribly, fullscreen is impossible in any resolution (too slow). HTML5 player eats CPU power like candy. But I can watch Youtube 720p or 1080p on my old notebook in flash player without problems. 3) Youtube or the browser do not give you any means to decide which player should be used. 4) with every video the player may change ! so it gets even more difficult to understand where the problem comes from. So if you recently got speed issues in Youtube, then disabling the HTML5 player in Firefox may fix this problem. You can check …

Samsung N120 – Screen Flickering
This is apparently a common problem with Samsung’s NC10 and N120 netbook models. Even though this was sent in for repairs to get the screen replaced, the problem did not go away and it continues to get worse. NOTE: This isn’t a hate video towards Samsung. I have purchased many Samsung products before. However, this netbook particularly has had more trouble. Please refrain from any negative comments!
Asus PA246q brightness flickering problem
Asus PA246Q flickering issue. Display card: HIS 6950 2GB Input type : displayport, dvi The screen starts flickering suddently within a month after purchasing. Lowering the brightness to 0 helps a bit, but eventually it will start flashing again. If flickering becomes severe the monitor will turn itself off. The montior died completely after flickering for several hours. The power can be turned on, and the Asus Logo shows up as usual, but then the monitor is completely black out and no response at all even pressing the input selector. Called Asus service center and they sent a repaiman on the next day. However the Asus repairman could not repair it and the monitor is picked up by Asus on the third day. UPDATE: Montior has been repaired and sent back to me within a week.
