Some of you corporate or higher education people may have to use “VPN” to access sensitive files from home. For example, my workplace uses Cisco AnyConnect VPN. Unfortunately Mac users got the shaft here. Some of you may have issues connecting to VPN, where you get immediately disconnected. Instruction: 1. Go to System Preferences 2. Go to iCloud or MobileMe depending on which service you have 3. Disable Back to My Mac The reason Back to My Mac conflicts with Cisco VPN is because of an “adapter conflict”. Your computer has a bunch of “network adapters”. Back to My Mac uses a network adapter called utun0. Guess what, Cisco likes utun0 too. So what happens is that when you turn on your computer, your computer immediately uses utun0, making it unavailable. When you try to use Cisco VPN, it will not be able to find utun0 anymore, thus disconnecting you right away.

Click on the ads. Simple way to make your iTunes recognise your iPod-iPhone if your having problems. If anyone is having any other problems like this please comment them and i will attempt to solve them for you. -Plug your iPod in. -Go to the Start Menu, and search ‘devmgmt.msc’. -Select ‘devmgmt’. -Click ‘Potable Decives’ and right click ‘Apple iPod’ (iPod must be plugged in to be available for selection). -Select ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ -A window with a search bar should open. In the search bar, type ‘C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleMobile Device SupportDrivers’ -Click ‘Next’. -A window should appear telling you that you already have the best driver software. This is because the software is installed after clicking ‘browse my computer for driver software’, the ‘best driver software is installed’. -If the notice appears saying ‘The Apple Mobile Device Service is not started’. UPDATE: Read my latest post on XDA-Developers forum.xda-developers.com Original Message: I bought a HTC Once X and experienced som flickering on grays, for example when clicking on the homebutton twice, where you can see the gray empty screens. There is also a problem when watching youtube on fullscreen – there is some screen glitchng but as soon as i play video with the player controlls the problem disappeared. So i thought it was hardware error, and i returned the phone and got a new one. The same problems appear again on the the second phone. I hope this is a software/driver issue. The screen flickering also appears when you change window in the browser – the animation between two browserwindows. I have uploaded, several examples on youtube, so click on all to see the big picture.
