The following reasons should silence the nay-sayer and help them heed the wisdom from Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach, “Teachers will not be replaced by technology, but teachers who don’t use technology will be replaced by those who do.”. Teachers are finding that using different classroom technologies like tablet computers, digital video, iPods, and video games are great tools for helping students learn. 1. Students love it. Students love using new technologies in the classroom. Whether it be the “cool” factor or just a genuine interest in new technology, it allows teachers to vary activities of the day and engage students. There is no commandment for education that says, “THOU SHALT NOT HAVE FUN” Students spend hours using technology like computers and television when they get home from school–why not engage them through their favorite mediums? 2. It engages the Four Key Components to Learning. Click on the link to read how technology in education (specifically the iPod School Listening Center) engages the 4 key components to learning. 3. Professional Development. Using new technologies allow students to learn another skill set that will help …

Google Tech Talks September 2, 2008 ABSTRACT In recent years, cloud computing has emerged as an attractive tool for delivering web-based services. Cloud computing enables rapid deployment of new services and allows those services to scale dynamically, in response to changing user demand. However, the range of cloud computing applications is constrained by limitations of the Internet service model. New network level services are needed to enable advanced applications that include real-time, person-to-person communication. This talk discusses how to add a dynamic network layer to cloud computing infrastructures, to enable the rapid introduction of new network services in support of advanced applications. Speaker: Jonathan S. Turner Jonathan S. Turner received the MS and PhD degrees in computer science from Northwestern University in 1979 and 1981. He holds the Barbara and Jerome Cox Chair of Computer Science at Washington University, is Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Director of the Applied Research Lab. The Applied Research Laboratory creates experimental networking technology to validate and demonstrate new research innovations. The Lab’s current projects center on extensible networking technology with a particular focus on high performance platforms for overlay hosting services. Professor Turner served as Chief Scientist for Growth Networks, a startup company that developed scalable switching components for Internet routers and ATM …

So I have made my first tutorial video with me speaking in it, sorry that it isn’t one of my usual runescape video. But I found it fitting to upload a tutorial video. I am very self conscious about how my voice sounds in videos, so comments on how my voice sounded would be very helpful ^.^ I hope this video helps you remove all the nasty warnings. And if you are woundering why it seems “Laggy” or “Slow” is because i filmed this on my laptop; which isn’t too powerfull. If you have a slow internet connection, here is how to do it in text: 1. Open up search (Press F3 for ease) 2. Search for “Wga”, with hidden files and folders on! 3. Open up task manager, look for the process called “Wgatray.exe” 4. Do delete on Wgatray.exe, DONT DELETE IT YET! 5. Do end process on Wgatray.exe 6. Click end process and delete at the same time 7. Rename Wgalogon.dll to prevent it re-downloading. 8. Enjoy!
