What are you podcasting pet peeves? Those things you see other podcasters doing or have done yourself that make you want to speak up and say stop doing that! We’ll tackle this topic and provide solutions to these problems that every podcaster has seen, done or is doing with their own show. This is a chance to hear some of the issues (technical, stylistic, visual, etc) that other podcasters are seeing or have seen during their time both producing and consuming podcasts. This won’t be just a bunch of podcasters wining about what they think is wrong with other podcasters. The goal is to approach these problems with practical solutions to problems you may not even have known existed.

I have a macbook pro 15′ from 2009 unibody and it has start up problems. The problem started by not waking up from sleep. I have reset the PRAM, NVRAM, EFI and the SMC as they say how on apple website. I have heard that the problem may be in the network settings in the Ethernet so I have disabled it and also the PPPoE and FireWire. This seemed to have fixed the problem but now I think that the problem just switch to the start up. I also have disabled the sudden motion sensor to see if the problem persists, and it did so I have enabled it. I haven’t try to reinstall the mac os x because I have never done it before. So I don’t want to make a mistake. I have to say that I don’t use any external hardware except a wireless mouse. But I do not keep the USB receiver on when I put the computer to sleep or shut down. The start up problem appears only when my computer is shut down for a long period of time. If not I have no problems. I don’t use the magic mouse and I have the bluetooth switch off. I do not use a remote. I also don’t use the Time Machine. I do not have the power settings set to put the hard disc to sleep when possible Please give your advice.. I need this computer.

Bad review for Netgear WNDR3700 Rangemax Router. Have received two defective routers form Netgear. This has inspired me to upload my first ever review. Checkout our site www.keepitrealradio.com UPDATE 9-17-2012 Ok I’m finally going to respond to to all the people who have responded to this video. Its been a long time since I originally posted both part 1 and part 2 of the WNDR3700 router. First off, USER ERROR MY ASS!!!! There is no user error, when these routers come in the factory box its basically plug and play. At least the wired portion of the router needs no setup. Second, on netgears own forum, on their website (at the time of these videos) there was a WHOLE thread dedicated to this model and bad firmware. No other router at the time commanded that much attention on netgears website. Lastly, like I said on the videos, im no network technician but I feel im a step higher than an average computer user. Every computer I own was built by me 7 in total, I have a dual router setup at home using a second router at home running DD_WRT and flashed by me. I have a WDTV and a Slingbox setup by me. Plus I have built several websites for friends all of which are still running as of today. Im not an expert by no means but definitely an above average computer user. I also had to go through all the hoops that netgears customer service makes you go through before sending a replacement. The FBI Moneypack Extortion virus is a “drive by” virus that installs by visiting a malicious website. It is very important to eradicate it quickly as I have read it can spawn. In my ultimate stupidity, I Intentionally Visit a maggots website (which I have just reported to Google) and by sheer luck I was able to catch this crippling virus and its effects on live video! Unfortunately you probably are not thinking anything about this is “Lucky” Well this will show what to do to eradicate this as well as a link below to a website with even more comprehensive measures. (After all this thing is apparently a beefed up version of a previous virus so by the time you see this it may be even harder to kill. By the way I used a machine I plan on tossing the hard drive on in a few weeks. If it spawns I will update this.
