I have a win 7 system so it should run properly as it does always but there is something wrong at this right moment. It’s also very hard to discover which task is responsable for it because after starting up the system again you don’t know where to look. Vrui-2.0 has finally been released, as has Kinect-1.1. You can get them from: idav.ucdavis.edu idav.ucdavis.edu (follow the links to “Download”). Vrui-2.0 builds on Linux (Fedora 12 tested) and Mac OS X (10.6.3 tested). Other Linux distributions will work, but might need packages that weren’t installed by default. For example, Ubuntu needs mesa-common-dev at least. Kinect-1.1 contains a crude camera calibration utility, without which you won’t be able to reasonably use the 3D viewer, KinectViewer. To run the calibration, run RawKinectViewer and follow the instructions from this video.

If you guys want videos like this please comment. I did this repair in 32 minutes, it was overheating. There was a big clump of dust blocking the vents, as well as the Thermal Paste being completely dried out. This was a Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop. Hinges were loose and It was infected with many viruses. The Customer was happy that i fixed all of the issues as well as Replacing the Keyboard. The Keyboard was missing the left shift, the button, and the #9. I did this in the middle of the cafe in my college. It was funny seeing so many people staring at what i was doing! I just love taking apart Computers. I don’t think i will ever stop enjoying this. I was listening to Duran Duran, on my iPod. The music in the background is Nights!: Journey of dreams OST.
