PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: What I am presenting to you solve my problem of why the laptop is not charging, but it MIGHT NOT WORK OR SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS. This is informational only so please DON’T HATE MY VIDEO, and DON’T DISLIKE MY VIDEO. This is a Dell Inspiron 6400. It was working fine with charging until one day, I saw the battery icon said “Plugged in, not charging.” I had tried some methods such as: 1) power off the laptop, remove the battery, power on without battery and shut down and then replace the battery. 2) uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery in the Device Manager. However, these methods did not work for me. It did work for others. So I guessed that either the AC charger is working improperly or the battery is dead which can no longer take charge. As for me, before deciding to buy the battery which is expensive, I test the AC charger with another computer to see what’s going on. I use three different AC charger from Dell which I labeled: red = plug in but not charging blue = plug in and charging green = plug in and charging As a result, I found out that my AC charger (red label) was not working on the Inspiron 6400 and another laptop, but the blue and green worked on the Inspiron 6400 and another laptop. Therefore, I concluded that it was the AC charger, not the battery. Although it says that the battery needs to be placed, it is still able to hold the charge up to 1 hour. The JumpSHOT is a characterized USB stick ( in this case officer Pete and his minions) that fights off all of the grime in your computer. Basically it claims to be a fix to a lot of PC issues from clearing off unneeded junk to adding more security and or fighting viruses. It was very easy to use. The computer in the video was built in 2008. It is running windows xp. Reports of internet ceasing when he played youtube videos and other videos….. It took about 20 minutes all together to jumpShot his computer. Can you go wrong with a device to do all the work?? I don’t think so. Especially if it works!! I paid around 35 dollars for it. problem solved..philips monitors dont work with nvidia graphics cards ! ebay ad didnt say that so hours wasted ! but shows this pdf by philips also doesnt point that out #fail i bought the monitor from stores.ebay.co.uk who offered a full refund but ive lost £16.50 as i had to pay to post it back via thepostoffice , my advice dont buy any tech product if the maker doesnt have a forum for free help online..so no buying philips monitos by me from now on . Buy the High-Definition DVD here: www.ebay.co.uk Play the first part of this video to see if you can identify any stuck or dead pixels. Play the second part of this video beneath the stuck pixel to attempt to unfreeze it and if you wish gently rub the area with a Q-Tip or a similar material which will not damage or scratch the screen, it may take 4-5 tries to make this work, but this works most of the time. Please however, bare in mind this technique doesn’t work 100% of the time.
