I have uploaded this video to show screen problems with samsung galaxy note. In this video I have shown with my finger the slight greyish blemishes visible on the screen when on grey background. Is it normal or a defect???
Find out if you have a good or bad display Test and compare yours to the video. There seems to be at least 2 different quality displays or display contrast. The better display shown on the black model is more rich and has more vibrant colors. Also the contrast from white to black is much better. The black one in the video also has great viewing at any angle without the colors washing out. All settings are identical both have same software versions 2.2.1, one is made in Taiwan and one is made in china but not sure if this makes a difference. Let me know what you think. image of my MBP (mid 2007) with display issues, which can be affected by me raising or lowering it. I took this video with my cameraphone (motorola ZN5). Note: the issue has progressed until 3/4 of the screen will immediate fade unless I pinch the screen roughly in the center right. This pressure somehow keeps a connection that causes the display to work perfectly, and so I’ve been using it to date with a clothespin and toothpick that provide enough pressure while not obscuring much the screen.
The NC10 seems to have a frequent problem which causes the screen to become all white (or another single color). Forum reports say that moving the display cable around can fix this problem – at least temporary. This video shows how to disassemble the lid, reach LCD panel and the cable, and then how to get everything back together again. Amazingly, this really made the white screen problem go away even nothing was really repaired. First successful cable massage I’ve ever seen 
Update: The problem was completely gone for 6 weeks, then started to reappear. Currently I’m working around it by squeezing the back of the lower right corner of the screen until it goes away again. To fix this permanently you’d probably have to replace the cable, which is difficult because: – you’d have to find a replacement cable (anyone know of a source?) – you’d have to get the new cable through the hinge – you’d have to connect it at both ends, so you’d have to disassemble not only the panel part, but also the keyboard part of your device.
