Every time I lift the laptop screen to its correct position it flickers, if I lean it back it stops, but I don’t get a good look at the screen because its leaning back too far. And when I lean it forwards it stops, but again I find it hard to see the screen properly. Please help as soon as possible. Thanks.
I finally found out why the monitor gets these weird lines showing up on the screen its the acer aspire’s power brick causing interference!

when pulling the Bezel make sure that you pull from inside out so grab between the screen and Bezel !! Sorry I had my hand immobilized so I was moving slow !!! I fix basic problems on computers , I’m not a pro on this so you may see lot of thing that the pro do different , all I know about computer I learn by myself never went to technical school for this !!

The screen suddenly started flickering, especially text on white backgrounds became unreadable. The problem persists in the bios as well Windows 7 / Ubuntu, so I’m sending the laptop back to HP to have either the screen or motherboard/GPU replaced. The laptop is a Pavilion DV7, from late 2009. My monitor just stoped working. The backlights dont stay on. The backlights are good, because i tested with a external neon power supply with sound sensor. ~When i turn on the screen normally, the backlight only lights up for like a second, then it turns off.
