This is how to disassemble a dell 17″ monitor, this is a 1704FPVt while the one in the other video is a 1704FPTt. They look identical and both suffered from 2 bad capacitors on the power supply board. Both units would not turn on.

My Gaming PC had started turning itself off without any warning a couple of weeks ago, I found the problem and it was the CPU Cooler not making contact with the processor and I fixed that. But now my computer will not even turn on, I plug it in and I get a green light in the back, and it stays there until I press the power button; Upon me pressing it, both the CPU cooler fan, and my main fain click on for a split second then back off, thus my PC not turning on nor keeping a charge once so ever. Has anyone ever had this problem before? If so, is there a way I could fix it? Steps I’ve already tried 1. Checking the power cord for any tears/damages 2. Checking the power switch in the back, making sure it’s on the proper setting. 3. Checking the cords on the inside (I was wearing a D-strap that removed any static from my body) making sure they’re plugged in correctly. I found what had happened, my motherboard got fried.

We finally get to spend some quality time with the LG 3G watch phone. The hardware is attractive, and if you’ve got wrists that are big enough, you’ll have no problem wearing the device as a watch full time. On the software end, the offering is minimal, as you might expect from a device so small. The GD910 can make and take voice and video calls, it can play music, take and display photos, keep a contact list, do math with a calculator, plus a variety of other PIM functions like voice recording, note-taking, and task list. All syncing must be done with the included dock and computer cable, so don’t expect to get wireless sync. In terms of messaging, the GD910 can do SMS, but not email. Overall, the GD910 is undoubtedly a cool device and works very well as a simple phone. Beyond that, don’t expect it to replace your smartphone. Also, with a price around $1000, it’s prohibitively expensive. If this device cost a quarter of the price, it could be a cool gadget to have around for the weekends or for times when you don’t want a smartphone in your pocket. Software Synchronization Puzzles Multithreaded applications often require synchronization constraints; for example, we might require one thread to write a value before another thread tries to read it. A semaphore is a software building block that can be used to enforce arbitrarily complex constraints, but getting the details right can be challenging. In the Little Book of Semaphores, I present this material using a series of puzzles, starting with basic patterns, working through classical synchronization problems like Readers-Writers and Dining Philosophers, and ending with some new problems constructed by my students. In this talk I will introduce semaphores, basic synchronization patterns and a few classical problems. I will demonstrate (and test) solutions to these problems using an animated thread simulator called Sync. The Little Book of Semaphores and Sync are available from Green Tea Press. Allen Downey is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Olin College of Engineering in Needham MA, and a Visiting Scientist at Google, Inc.
