I came across this bizzare rebooting computing problem. The problem occurs when a ASUS P8H67 and APC UPS is connected via USB. The computer simply reboots before loading the OS. regardless of OS or from from a install CD/DVD.

My computer won’t shut down normally after telling it to do so from either inside WinXP or by pushing the power button. Instead, I get this.

Having problem with the computer turning on, I either have to turn off the computer for 30 secs, but lately its been more longer, like half an hour to a hour of a wait with the power unplugged, if I am lucky it will run. Once I get it running I have to leave it running well that is if it goes on stand by or if I turn it off, it won’t come back on, and I’ll have to do the same steps like above again. When I click the power button it flashes with the orange light instead of the green one and doesn’t turn on. –Comment– Nov 23/09 I tried removing the ram, but didn’t change anything, haven’t got the problem fix, not sure if its the motherboard, Power Supply, or Video Card, which I don’t think it is at all. I am aiming towards that its the Power Supply, because I was told from some people that Dell components have trouble reading non Dell hardware, which I believe is ridiculous.. Well because hardware is hardware… I don’t know… Not sure when I will be able to get this computers fix, I am stuck working on my laptop for who knows how long…

Is this a motherboard problem? I definitely think its not the power source since I’ve already used my second power source. It keeps on turning off every few seconds and turns on again..How can this be fixed? If possible, I don’t wanna buy another motherboard. Once I remove the the that comes from the power source with 4 pins (i don’t know what it is called), it continually starts and does not restart, but definitely it wont work without that, so probably that part is the problem? Is there a way to fix it? and How could that problem occur? Please help.. Thank you..

Video by www.laptopscreen.com on how to properly replace an LCD screen in a laptop (based on HP DV6000). This Laptop Screen replacement repair / installation guide is based on Hewlett Packard Pavilion DV 6000. It will also work for similar DV 2000, DV 9000 and all sub models. Display replacement is easy on all laptops; HP, DELL, ACER, ASUS, APPLE, SAMSUNG, TOSHIBA, COMPAQ and other notebooks all share similar LCD panels, with LED or CCFL backlight, which need to come out of the bezel to be replaced with a new screen. Make sure to disconnect the power and remove the battery, laptop’s inverter has high voltage, don’t get shocked.
