You can easily clean up computer files by using the Disk Cleanup Utility that will delete computer files that are unnecessary. You should use this as regular maintenace tool in order to keep your computer running fast. Read more at: www.scambook.com Today’s episode of Scambook TV is a warning about ransomware, a cyber scam that’s threatening consumers online. Ransomware is a computer virus/malware program that borrows its tactics from kidnapping; hackers seize control of your computer and demand you pay a ransom to unlock it. Recently, hackers have been targeting victims with ransomware that impersonates the FBI. Kevan describes how computer users get a message that claims to be from cybercrime@fbi.gov, informing the user that their computer has been frozen due to copyright violations. To “pay your fines” and unlock your computer, according to the scam, you must pay $200 via MoneyPak. As Kevan says in the video, this scam may look very official but don’t fall for it! We recommend disconnecting your internet, running your antivirus software and (if necessary) restoring your operating system. What’s worse than a virus that cripples your computer? HACKING CISCO PHONES Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean your phone isn’t listening to everything you say We discuss a set of 0-day kernel vulnerabilities in CNU (Cisco Native Unix), the operating system that powers all Cisco TNP IP phones. We demonstrate the reliable exploitation of all Cisco TNP phones via multiple vulnerabilities found in the CNU kernel. We demonstrate practical covert surveillance using constant, stealthy exfiltration of microphone data via a number of covert channels. We also demonstrate the worm-like propagation of our CNU malware, which can quickly compromise all vulnerable Cisco phones on the network. We discuss the feasibility of our attacks given physical access, internal network access and remote access across the internet. Lastly, we built on last year’s presentation by discussing the feasibility of exploiting Cisco phones from compromised HP printers and vice versa. We present the hardware and software reverse-engineering process which led to the discovery of the vulnerabilities described below. We also present methods of exploiting the following vulnerabilities remotely. Cisco PSIRT has assigned CVE Identifier CVE-2012-5445 to this issue. The issue is being disclosed via a Release Note Enclosure per the Cisco Vulnerability Policy. The Vulnerability Policy can be found at the following location: www.cisco.com I have included the contents of the Release Note Enclosure (RNE) that will be available via the Cisco Bug Search tool bellow …

Samsung S27A850D Display does not pick up the signal of a PC: Dell Studio XPS with a ATI Radeon HD 3600 video adapter. Also tried other pc’s but all showed the same problem. You have to start up with a split screen and after the operating system is loaded you can go back to the full screen. After repair by Samsung, the monitor worked fine. They told me it was a problem with the power supply?
