BigNate84.com – In this video I will be giving a brief overview and un-boxing the Western Digital My Book Live 3TB. This is a network drive so it is designed to connect to a router or directly to your computer. The big advantage of a network drive or NAS (Network Attached Storage) is that it can connect to a router and can be accessible from any computer on the LAN (Local Area Network) along with smart phones, smart TV’s and other networked devices. You can even set it up so that you can access your files remotely with a user name and password. If you don’t like Drop Box or Google Drive you can basically set up your own personal cloud storage solution with this turn key solution from Western DIgital. And you don’t have to be a geek to do it. Please feel free to share your thoughts on this device in the comments below. Is your computer not as fast as it used to be? Do you consistently get application crashes, “time outs” and the dreaded hourglass? When you press the power button on your computer in the morning, can you start the coffee, take a shower, style your hair and get dressed, all before your computer is finished booting? If you answered yes to any of these questions, your computer needs more than another cup of coffee. It needs a tune-up. You probably already know that there are a myriad of ways that a computer repair professional can help you. But, unfortunately, not everyone can afford to call a computer repair specialist every time something breaks – especially those hardest hit by the current economic downturn. I’ll be honest, here. As a computer repair consultant and owner of a computer repair shop in Colorado, I am not one to suggest the use of free tools very often. When someone can afford to purchase software, I usually advise them to purchase a quality retail product, because the paid-for software is typically far superior and the user is entitled to support. In my experience, free tools are usually either crippled versions of their related non-free products, or simply don’t do a good enough job to be useful. But, there are a few free tools that are exceptions to that rule, and offer a good product for those who genuinely cannot afford to purchase off-the-shelf software. So, with that being said, here are my 5 suggestions for free tools to speed up your slow computer …

This is a video of a Samsung LCD TV – LN46A550 that stopped working about 4 months off warranty. I’m not an electrical engineer or a TV repairman. I’m actually a girl who has never soldered in my life. If I can do this, you can too!! I apologize in advance for all my “ums”. I’m also NOT a professional speaker. 🙂 Cheers!!

Here is my latest video on the WLX 652 network storage server device. Now I have installed on my NAS Snake OS. Which is a brilliant piece of design that gives you a much nicer interface than the original, and new features like a new fancy torrent program, and a built in web server! And best of all it is completly free! In this video I will doing a run through showing you the basics. Sadly I cannot show you certain parts because my NAS does not like Windows 7 very much, but most of it works fine. I can assure you that it works fine with XP and probably with most 7 machines. But now 3 out of my 4 computer are Windows 7, making it hard to record on XP. Thanks for watching and please click the like button and add a comment if you liked it and/or if it helped you out. And of course if you have any questions at all, about the NAS, or just general computer problems, please let me know and I will try to help you. thelucaslondon.
