How to Test / Diagnose Computer or Laptop Hard Drive For Problems by Britec In this video, I will show you how to troubleshoot, check and fix your hard disk for errors or bad sectors using FREE software. You can help solve a lot of computer problems and even improve the performance of your computer by making sure that your hard disk has no errors or bad sectors. You can do this with chkdsk /r and surface scan. Windows Surface Scanner won’t fix damaged sector problems it simply diagnoses them How long does a scan take? well this will depend upon the size of your hard disk. Its always best not to use your computer while it’s checking for errors or bad sectors. Just remember If you start getting bad sector errors showing up on scans, STOP scanning the hard drive right away. if you continue to test the hard drive, you could damage the hard drive beyond repair. All the diagnostic tools I use in this video are Free and you use at your own risk. www.briteccomputers.co.uk

Asus motherboard, core 2 quad 2.5ghz, radeon 4870, 1xWD hard drive and 4 fans. Runs with a Seasonic 500w PS. Power flickers after pressing the power button, then without intervening, it comes on by itself. Then all normal startup. No problem on heavy gaming like Crysis, furmark etc.

working long time with computers, you may have noticed that monitors actually need an opposite light toward them to make them less disturbing to our eyes. if we do not use lights toward monitors, it would be very inconvenient for the eyes. or may cause dry eyes. meanwhile another problem i faced was the type of light to use, bulb lights were bright enough but getting too hot after10 minutes, especially in the summer. another problem was the stand for lights on the desktop. so all of these issues made me to think of an easy way to solve each of those problems. now i came up with a practical project that i found it very useful for daily computer based works. take a look at the video, it is very easy to make, if you had any question, send me an email or add comments, i soon reply. Download: www.tkqlhce.com Understand how PerfectDisk optimizes SSD’s: blog.raxco.com A dark bane consumes the world of computers, and that bane is slow hard disk performance. The bottlenecks of disk I/O and disk fragmentation cannot be understated. Tonight, I delve into this world, and come to only one conclusion. Perfect Disk by Raxco Software. Here is my solemn review. Statistics: All laptop fragmentation reduced to 0%. Over hundred and fifty thousands file fragmentations are recorded as having been prevented. A second analysis showed no more than 1% fragmentation after 24 hours of prolonged disk read and write benchmarking.

Important, must read. This is a little experiment I conducted to see if the tales about the textures on Skyrim are any different if you have the game installed to the HDD or not. One of the Skyrim devs said on twitter that there was no difference so I made this video. I did this on a retail copy with the day 1 patch installed after clearing my system cache. You can clearly see more texture on my character’s hand when the game isn’t installed to the HDD. This is the second time I conducted the experiment. The first time I conducted it I found that when the game was installed to the HDD both the leather armour texture AND my character’s hand were really low res yet looked much better without the game installed. The second time, as seen in this video, it was just the hand that looked better without the install. Update: I did this a few more times outdoors and indoors and I consistently experienced lower res textures when playing off the HDD.
