Quantum Computing Day 1: Introduction to Quantum Computing
Google Tech Talks December, 6 2007 ABSTRACT This tech talk series explores the enormous opportunities afforded by the emerging field of quantum computing. The exploitation of quantum phenomena not only offers tremendous speed-ups for important algorithms but may also prove key to achieving genuine synthetic intelligence. We argue that understanding higher brain function requires references to quantum mechanics as well. These talks look at the topic of quantum computing from mathematical, engineering and neurobiological perspectives, and we attempt to present the material so that the base concepts can be understood by listeners with no background in quantum physics. This first talk of the series introduces the basic concepts of quantum computing. We start by looking at the difference in describing a classical and a quantum mechanical system. The talk discusses the Turing machine in quantum mechanical terms and introduces the notion of a qubit. We study the gate model of quantum computing and look at the famous quantum algorithms of Deutsch, Grover and Shor. Finally we talk about decoherence and how it destroys superposition states which is the main obstacle to building large scale quantum computers. We clarify widely held misconceptions about decoherence and explain that environmental interaction tends to choose a basis in state space in which the system decoheres while leaving coherences in other coordinate systems intact. How To Speed Up Computer
registryconvoy.com If you are getting a slow PC and try to speed it up with a few of seconds, I highly suggest you download the Best Registry Cleaner in 2012 to detect system errors on your problem computer for free. Getting a slow computer? Do you hate to wait for a long time for the computer responding? Do you plan to purchase a new computer to replace the current one because it is extremely slow? Well, please hold on before you watch this video. There are some effective and easy tips about how to speed up computer. Method 1 Disable Startup Items Using Msconfig 1 Click the “Start” button on your taskbar and choose “Run.” 2 Type “msconfig” (without quotes) in the box and click “OK.” The “System Configuration Utility” window will pop up. 3 Choose the “Startup” tab. This tab shows you all the programs or processes that run when your computer starts up each time. 4 Uncheck any of the Program Files items you wish to stop on startup. Method 2 Defragment your system to fix slow computer. The Windows operating system places files and programs on a hard drive. One file will not necessarily be located in one physical place. Over time, a hard drive can become fragmented with hundreds of files broken up in many locations across the drive. Ultimately, those fragment can slow down a computer speed and respond time. 1)Click Start–All Programs–Accessories–System Tools, and then click Disk Defragment. 2)In the Disk Defragment dialog box, click the drives that you want to defragment …
Removing and Preventing Dust in your Computer Case
I show you how I clean my computer out and prevent further dust buildup from occurring. The most common problem with computer cases is that the unconstrained output fans push out more air than the filtered input fans can provide, thus giving you negative pressure inside the case, this causes a few problems,: 1. Because negative air pressure sucks air in through any cracks or slits in your case, unfiltered air will enter your case, causing more dust to build up. 2. Because of the negative air pressure, the power supply fan will have a harder time pushing air through your power supply, therefore causing your power supply to heat up. The solution? Increase the amount of air entering your case, and only if you have to, decrease the amount exiting. Steps: 1. Test air pressure. 2. Check all fans to make sure they are working. 3. Decide whether to add more fans, or increase fan speed – if possible. 4. If necessary, slow down output fans. 5. Test air pressure again and repeat process if necessary. In my computer I now have 4 input fans (I added another since this video) all spinning slowly, and one output fan spinning on medium, I have found this to be all I need to keep my computer cool and silent.

Dell Optiplex GX280 CPU FAN Speed Loud Noise – With No Display
i have dell optiplex gx280 computer.i am facing problem of CPU high fan speed when i turn on the PC.it goes to full noise like a jet fighter and nothing get appeared on the screen and fan continuously gone crazy like that.i have removed all the hard drives,Rams,cd roms, PCI slots cards..only power supply attached to the motherboard…but it still gives the same irritating cpu fan speed noise………can anyone tell me what is the exact problem ..???….thanks very much in advance…..!!!!!
