Go into the folder and access PROPERTIES for the Setup.exe program. Under the COMPATIBILITY page check XP SP2. Run Setup.exe and the drivers will now install with no problem (ignore Vista warning mesages). Plug in the scanner and it should function fine, mine does 😉 Hope this helps!”

Quick solution on the reoccurring Vista issue with the CD/DVD Drive not working and not opening or reading discs.
