Alternative way to fix your USB ports: www.youtube.com all of a sudden all my USB ports stopped working kept getting USB device not recognized they would not detect anything plugged into them hardware or firmware issue? I am going to show you how to fix this problem if it happens to you. In this video there will be no uninstalling of anything its a very simple fix. Steps: 1. Make sure its your USB ports not working and not your device 2. Once you determined it’s your USB ports shut down your computer. 3. Unplug the 3 prong power cable from the back of the computer. 4. Let the computer sit unplugged for approx. 5 min 5. Plug the power cord back into the computer. 6. Boot up the computer and test the USB ports with your device. if this technique does not work for you leave a comment and I will help you fix it

Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com Visit My Website: www.nutgoesnerd.webnode.com NOTE After removing these registry keys and rebooting, it may be necessary to reinstall any CD or DVD recording applications. 1) Close all open programs 2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter 3) Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE * SYSTEM * CurrentControlSet * Control * Class * {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column. * UpperFilters * LowerFilters * UpperFilters.bak * LowerFilters.bak 5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete 6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor 7) Reboot your computer 8) Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

Format USB key FAT16 4. Find ‘usb-creator’ on Ubuntu disc and run executable file ** be sure to select ‘discarded on shutdown, unless you save them elsewhere’ ** 5. Click on MAKE START UP DISK 6. Once completed, take USB key to netbook and boot from USB 7. Follow prompts and install Ubuntu 10.04

This shows what codecs are supported by the Kenwood DNX9980HD car DVD/Nav system. This test was performed with .wav, .mp3, .m4a (both iTunes and Nero AAC), and .wma formats from both USB and CD-R. In summary, via USB, all formats except for MP3 have the volume gradually faded in when playback starts, which is an annoying tendency that cannot be disabled. On CD and DVD this problem does not occur, however, AAC files encoded with recent versions of NeroAACenc do not play back from optical discs without modification, (although iTunes files work fine). WMA files also don’t play back on CD or DVD.

Note: When you copy the music folders from your Ipod, to your computer, some of the folders that are created may be empty, depending on the amount of music you have. Does not work for Ipod Touch or Iphone ***STEP 8 CORRECTION*** In step 8, it says to copy the “music” folder. Do not do this, instead open up the folder where you will see files named f00, f01, f02 etc. copy these subfolders, not the music folder. I hav been finding that people who copy the music folder, instead of the subfolders, have been experiencing problems. Please copy the subfolders inside of the “music” folder. Thank you to all who helped me discover this, and no i do not know why this is the case. **STEP 8 CORRECTION VERSION 2** Also, this has been suggested by someone, and it may do the trick if the first correction doesn’t. “all you have to do is look at the folder while under “my computer”. right click on the folder titled “music”, then click properties. Uncheck “Read only” and “hidden”. now go to Itunes and add the folder to the library ” If you do this, then follow step 8 as normal, copying the “music” folder. *If Ipod does not show up in Windows Explorer* -this may help support.apple.com -restart your computer -press the menu and center button to reset Ipod -make sure *view hidden files and folders* is checked! if your having problems getting music from computer to …
