Propellerhead Record: Computer to Slow to Play Song!

This problem with my computer is really pissing me off. I’m trying to record part of a guitar solo for one of my songs and every time it gets to the part I’m trying to record Propellerhead sends me this message “Computer too slow to play song” Does anyone know any fucking way to make this stop? Is it just because I’m using windows vista? The only good thing about this video is that you get a bit of a sneak preview of one of my new songs.
