These fragmented files make it difficult for your CPU to find the files and causes Slow PC Performance or sluggish PC. Often this causes your Computer to Freeze up or Crash. Thus it is very important to Defragment your hard disk drives and partitions so that the files are arranged in order and makes it easier for Windows to find the files. Hard Disk Drive Defragmentation will speedup your computer performance. To Defragment your Hard Disk Drive you have to click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter. The window that opens will show all the drives on your PC or Laptop. Select the Drive and click Defragment Now button. The disk Defragmenter will first analyse the degree of defragmentation and then when you click defragment button, Windows Defragmenter will defragment your disk. You can also achieve his by clicking Start button followed by Run.. button and typing DEFRAG C where C: is the drive you want to defragment. You can use D: or E: to select other dirves.
