OS X Mountain Lion was released to the public today, there is currently an issue with the wi-fi on some systems including : (See Bottom on a Possible Fix) 2010 iMacs 2011 Macbook Pro 13″ 2009 Macbook Pro 15″ 2009 Macbook White 13″ 2011 Mac Mini All other models seem to be playing nicely with OS X Mountain Lion but if you are having any problems with mountain lion please be sure to let us know Tweet Us : @AppleFanSite Email Us : Tips@AppleFansite.com Or comment below Method 1 : I determined that connection to VPN is the cause of Wifi not working. — When Disconnected — Wifi worked perfectly fine; when Connected — Wifi appeared to be working, but wasn’t connecting to the Internet I went into Network Preferences/Advanced Clicked on the DNS tab Added two new OpenDNS servers: 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 by pressing the ‘+’ button I clicked OK and then Apply I connected to VPN and voila — everything works fine. Wifi works also while VPN is disconnected. Method 2: Open finder press cmd + shift + g Enter: /library/preferences/systemconfiguration Now take the systemconfiguration folder and Delete it Provide your password then delete and empty the trash Restart Your Computer Method 3: Reinstall Mac OS X Mountain Lion over your current version
