In the network marketing industry they will tell you to write a list of your family and friends call them up and invite them to a meeting either at your home or at a hotel or something of this nature. This process really does not work at least in my experience and many people that I come across every single day. When I first joined the network marketing industry I wrote a list of about 112 people I got in contact with about 50 something of them and then 35 of them actually said they were going to come to my meeting. One person showed up. After that I could not get anybody to answer the phone especially the 35 people that said they were going to come to my meeting. It got to the point to where if I wanted to talk to a friend or family member I had to text message them before I called to let them know I just wanted to talk and it was nothing about business. The other thing that they tell you to do is the dress in a suit and go out to Walmart or to the mall or to any local grocery store and try to hit up people that are shopping in the store. This strategy does not work and it actually makes you look like a clown is what I like to call it. People that are in Walmart are not looking to get pitched a business opportunity they’re looking to shop and get the hell out of there.
