Long story short I am an Microsoft Certified IT Professional and get paid to fix Microsoft software problems for large corporations and government institutions. You can get certified in Microsoft software by taking training classes from local technology training schools or even community colleges or universities. Microsoft certification is a part of a lot of Computer Science degrees in college but I dropped out of college because I didn’t care for all the other classes they wanted me to take. I didn’t want to write english papers and learn calculus when I knew I wouldn’t use those skills for what I wanted to do. Getting on the job experience is the most important part to get a good job with the certifications so you will probably start out as a low end junior admin and work your way up the ladder. I enjoy what I do and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in computers and enjoys learning how to use software but doesn’t want to be a programmer or take a lot of college courses to get a degree. I won’t tell you how much I make but it is on par with some of my friends who went on to get their masters degrees in college.
