In this video, I got my hands on a sweet little piece if discount electronics designed to interface with a vehicle’s built-in OBD-II computer interface. I did this using Windows 7 and the built in Serial-to-USB drivers (downloaded and installed by Windows 7 automatically). ScanTool.Net is GNU licensed, Open Source software that is free to the public. It is designed to read diagnostic information (trouble code and sensor data) from generic OBD-II hardware interfaces.
