MJPG-streamer takes JPGs from Linux-UVC compatible webcams, filesystem or other input plugins and streams them as M-JPEG via HTTP to webbrowsers, VLC and other software. It is the successor of uvc-streamer, a Linux-UVC streaming application with Pan/Tilt. The problem is the description of the package version does not comply with the “Center of applications.” To solve it we need to rebuild the package. This is the error you get when running from the command line: dpkg: error processing mjpg-streamer_r94-1_i386.deb (–install): parsing file ‘/var/lib/dpkg/tmp.ci/control’ near line 7 package ‘mjpg-streamer’: error in Version string ‘r94-1′: version number does not start with digit Errors were encountered while processing: mjpg-streamer_r94-1_i386.deb jasacomputers.com Download from SourceForge.net sourceforge.net Fix description (not in English, will need to translate page): cleaner-lab.blogspot.com
