Este foi um desafio postado pelo Docm, vamos torcer pra ele gostar da nossa solução! [English] This is a video response to Docm, since he asked if anyone could come up with an alternative solution for his witch farm. Unfortunately my computer cannot handle the official map and record at the same time, but I believe the idea is clear in this laggy video. Advantages: 1. Uses the burn out principle, so no need for timing the system with repeaters. 2. Solves the problem of repeaters getting stuck/locked when re-logging. 3. Very easy on resources, you will need just a bunch of redstone lines and some torches. 4. Very compact and easy to build. 5. Expandable. You can make the system shake faster by putting more unstable units (block over torch + redstone). 6. It’s possible to turn the farm On/Off and even control the shifting velocity (not shown in this video) It does work faster with more torches! I have a map where I made a farm (4 floors) over the bedrock in the Nether (yes we,ve found a way) and it produces a lot of mobs in a matter of seconds. I can not record my gold farm working because my computer is too slow, but I can send you the map if it’s requested. Just trust me, we have been using this concept for a long time in our server 🙂 Disadvantages: 1. ~ FAQ & Last Important Notes ~ ::Last Important Notes:: — Last things, which I haven’t put in my video since it has nothing specifically to do with my videos… or well it does but it is overal about the computer. — Lately I’ve told that my old computer broke down, that one is fixed now however it’s running kinda slow and REALLY slow with sims. So I must say it’ll take eternities to finish projects this way but it roles how it goes… — Not long ago I finally saved enough money from my job to buy a new computer, so I did about a month ago. Now the bad thing is… the basic things run fine, but when I start working with Editors and games like Sims 2 I encounter the oddest errors and crashes ever ._. Even when searching in the logs for info about it I can’t get any clear message from it. I’ve searched tons of forums to a similiar problem but in vain, until now I still found nothing. Although I know there are also erros that say it has something to do with openGL running out of memory and the NVIDIA graphic card in the computer, which is a good one but somehow seems to have conflicts with sims 😐 — At the moment I’m in a ‘time of despair’ in real life, life seems a desireless game to me. It’s mostly from what happens around my family and incidents that cross my path day after day, I won’t lay down my whole life here openly, but at least you know why I may react detached or be in a depressive mood now and then, and also why I won’t always be working on my projects. A test where one Youtube HD video and one Vimeo HD video were loaded with two different internet connections ( bench marking the connections using speedtest.net before the tests ) One connection was a Time Warner Cable Internet service rated for 30Mbps down, 5Mpbs up. These speeds were verified by speedtest.net. I can also verify these speeds are consistent based on things I do like download large games from Steam. The other connection was a Verizon 4G iPhone set up as a Personal Hot Spot. LTE bandwidth in my home ranges from 15-40Mbps down and 4-25Mbps up whenever I do speed tests. I need to make some clarification about what I mean by Time Warner “Throttling” bandwidth. Time Warner isn’t throttling my home internet connection. If they were, I wouldn’t be able to achieve the 30/5 Mbit speed I showed in the video. Instead, they are either throttling the bandwidth from the caching servers their customers are routed to or the caching servers are congested beyond their capacity. Either way, Time Warner has a responsibility to their customers to address these issues. Google doesn’t own the servers that predominantly serve up video to Time Warner customers. Google has a caching and peering network that allows traffic to be routed to servers that are considered “ideal” for the viewer of the video. The viewer’s internet provider, geographic location, and DNS server are all taken into account in this selection. Unfortunately, Google’s peering agreements allow ISP’s to direct …
