This is a fix for the network problem on vista. This is where you are asked for a username and password to access another computer’s files, but are unable to turn this off. After going to “Control Panel Network and Internet Network and Sharing Center” and selecting “Turn off password protected sharing”, many people find that password protected sharing remains on. I’ve been using this time capsule for the last month and I have to say that I am really impressed. Once again Apple have created a brilliant product. It’s very easy to setup and to configure. The software is compatible with both PC and MAC and this is an excellent way to backup all your important info. This is a 802.11n base station router as well as a 500GB LAN hard disk. I have not had any problems with this device and I notice my internet is running extremely fast. Using VMWare workstation with a HOST only network, setup Windows Server 2008 with 2 NICS and ICS. One NIC is connected to the HOST only network with the other connected via Bridged network connection to the lab network allowing it to connect to the Internet. This setup uses 172.16.0.0 network on the HOST only network. This will allow a workstation with 172.16.0.100 address to route out to the Internet via your Windows 2008 Server with an IP of 172.16.0.10.
